MANGARAMOTI TANO NI OMPUNG

Huta Natinggir is land belonging to the Indigenous People of Pomparan Op Raja Nasomalomarhohos Pasaribu. According to the ancestors' stories, their community opened Huta Natinggir and lived there for approximately 325 years or up to 13-14 generations. However, in 1991, the presence of the Toba Pulp Lestari company made the people of Huta Natinggir slowly lose their land. The forest, a source of daily life for the community, has been replaced with eucalyptus trees for pulp production. The taking of the forest and the customary land belonging to the community made them guerrillas in replanting.
